How to Delete Your Pinterest Account

Pinterest no longer delete accounts permanently, but still you can deactivate.

How are you getting on with Pinterest? Pinterest is an awesome service to organize interesting stuff you find when surfing the web. Or you can discover interesting stuff at Pinterest too. However statistics say women are much preferred in pinning content. I hope it may due to its visual appeal. Have you got an impressive collection of interesting stuff on Pinterest too? So you may still wanna get on with it. By the way, if you are a one who figured out Pinterest is not useful and end up with being idle on Pinterest, now you may seeking a way around to get rid of it. Or you may wanna take down your account due to suspection of copyright infringement happening around Pinterest. Do you wanna figure out how to get rid of Pinterest?

Pinterest had to through with legal implications as it let users pin content from anywhere on the web into their own collection with or without any permissions. But I wonder, generally who gonna ask you for the permission if someone found your stuff are visually appeal for them. They just pin it down. However for people who really care about what they publish on their site and if they don't wanna let others pin their content, Pinterest let them block their sites from pinning too. But pinning doesn't mean that users are trying to acquire copyright for that specific content and not meant to be. It's just fair use and spreading the word. And Pinterest is not the only place where you can share content without permissions.

Galen Moore shared an article about how Pinterest affect on businesses and he has been talking about his personal experience which cause him to prevent using Pinterest for his business. But pins that pinned from source, always link back to source site and it aids to promote content and gain more exposure to your content. Isn't that the intention of publishing content online? However if you are pinning content, I think you might have a look at these suggestions that Lisa Buben has been recommending to be ethical when using Pinterest as a service. They are quite simple but much effective. So if you are gonna get rid of Pinterest due to copyright infringement or sort of reason, you may think about it once again.

There could be few possible reasons why you think about leaving Pinterest. Either you may find it boring or you may wanna stick into few other networks where your followers actually stick into. Absolutely sometimes you may come up with your own reason to get rid of Pinterest. However at last, if you've made up your mind to delete your Pinterest account, here you will find how to shut down your account including all your boards and pins related to your  Pinterest account.

Hi Bekka,

It will delete your activity, pins, boards and information associated with your account. You need to start from scratch :) 'Cause here it's not just deactivation. It permanently delete your account. So if you have number of pins and boards, you better not delete it.

Hope it helps :)

Hi Dayna,

You can go with "Deactivate" option :) It's same as delete option it had. Your account will be deleted permanently.

THIS DOES NOT DELETE THE ACCOUNT. You can always log back in with your username nd password to re-activate it. Stop disseminating inaccurate information.
