Learn Web Development Technologies Yourself at W3Schools

What you have been doing online? Probably, you have been looking out for news, doing shopping and general stuff online. But it's quite different if you are a blogger or person deals with the back end of a website. There you need to be knowledgeable in web design and development technologies. If you are really into web designing and development, or made the choice to start your career in that pathway, you may have enough knowledge about them. But if you are a newbie to web, how do you gonna start with?

Find a Good Resource

There are different kind of information sources online for you to learn about web development technologies. Yeah, many and many of them. In addition to online materials, you can make use of books written about web development too. Absolutely it depends on your choice of which web development technology you are focused on. There are many number of books out there which helps you learn web development if you need to. All you need is a good and understandable resource with the correct information and you can guide rest of it yourself. If the resource is simple and give you enough information you should know about, then what are you waiting for?

Learn or Outsource?

You may be really good at web development. That's a plus point of yours. There are more people who wanted to be online to build their businesses, build online presence and serve people while stepping in to online world. They may not know how to play with HTML or CSS whenever they wanted. Think of an offline writer. He may famous offline and think of taking next step being online too. Let's say he starts a blog himself and now what? It's not about pen and paper. He needs to know some of basic HTML, CSS or such languages if he needs to improve himself in blogging too. Ohw yeah, I know he can spend some money and outsource it. But what's the matter of learning something useful to him and his career?

A Useful Resource

Though you are a newbie or an expert, there is a useful website I can recommend where you can educate yourself about web development technologies - W3Schools. Personally I use it as a reference for myself and  it helped me lot in customizing Mayura4Ever. At W3Schools you can find online web tutorials to learn new web technologies or to sharpen your knowledge. You can find tutorials and references about HTML, CSS, XML, ASP, PHP, SQL and much more. W3Schools offer descriptive yet simple step by step tutorials for different web development technologies. Either you can learn from scratch or find out more information about something you do know at there.

Also there you can find lot of related examples to check out and learn how to use them properly. W3School let you know definition and usage of code, important notes about code and more such as for HTML - Attributes and events that can be used with codes, what major web browsers support that code. Instead of static information, W3Schools offer "Try it Yourself" editor where you can experiment with codes and see result of your experiments instantly. It's more worthy than just a information source too. You might able to save money by learning and most important thing is you are investing your time to learn about it. So, what you gonna learn about?

Steps:

There is no prerequisites involved. Just go over to W3Schools website and start with what you would like to learn. If you have no idea, HTML and CSS are best to start with.

More Information:

* Make use of the website search bar to find necessary information.

* If you have a doubt or couldn't find what you have been looking for, then you can use W3Schools Forum to ask questions and solve your issues related to web development technologies.

Enjoy :-)

Thanks for the info, Mayura.
It's important to keep on learning, improving. The fact it can be done online is kinda cool because you don't have to d/l and install an coding environment.
I have no experience with CSS or HTML5 yet, but it sure sounds tempting!

That sure was informative Mayura!

I DO have a tough time where learning codes, CSS, and all those 'heavy' temrs you used above are concerned! I somehow never had a head for those and would always pass it along to my husband who is good at them, though we still need tutorials and other kind of help often.

Just as you mentioned this great resource, what's good about this particular one is that you can see the results by trying it out there itself, which is wonderful. Or else we keep trying it out on our blog half the time and there are errors and things that don't work too, which can then spoil things and often take time.

Thanks for sharing about yet another wonderful resource, which I am surely going to check out. :)

Hi Jan,

Hey, don't worry about experience Jan ;) If you need, you can learn all stuff. Find something to change as you prefer in your blog and search + play with code there. You can use some in blog posts too.

Thanks for your comment mate :)

Hi Harleena,

We always have room to improve but the thing is we tend to stay in safe zone as much as possible :) Here as you can play with codes and see instant result at there, you do not need to worry about applying it on your blog dear. It minimize the risk and improve our knowledge too.

When you have something to change on your blog or wanna add styles in your posts, just search for it there and see what you can do dear. After trying it out there you can apply it to your blog posts or blog itself.

We didn't born with all that knowledge and always our mind keep us waiting from learning new stuff, right? :)

Thanks for sharing your ideas and compliments dear :)

When I first started working online I knew absolutely nothing about web development. I've been able to learn everything I needed thanks to this kind of resources. However, nowadays, I tend to outsource most of the technical work so I keep my time to focus on other things.

Hi Dukeo,

Such online resources are very helpful to learn :) It's really easy to outsource but it doesn't hurt learning something new, right? I think if we know our own stuff well, we can do lot more better than outsourcing. Anyway hope you give it a try and be knowledgeable.

Thanks for commenting mate :)

Thanks so much for sharing this one.
