● Analytics

It uses blend of accessible variables such as search engine data, website traffic data, social appearance and influence, performance, content and structure data in to their algorithm to measure effectiveness of your site. The detailed report helps you to find out what are the features you are already missing on your site and estimate search engine and marketing effectiveness of your website.

Marketing Grader

Let's have a quick look at the aspects being reviewed by Marketing Grader.

Blogging

If your website incorporated with a blog or you just have a blog, it will detect and perform specific analysis for your blog based on traffic data and quality backlinks pointing to your blog. Together with analysis, it will look into your recent posts or articles and analyze social reach of your content too. The report also shows if you are using email marketing on your blog or website.

SEO

Marketing Grader also analyze how well your blog or website content has been optimized for search engines. Basically it will reveal you how many pages indexed by search engines and number of backlinks. Further you can get to know how optimized your images on homepage and mozRank of your site, which is another ranking technology based on backlinks similar to Google PageRank. Do you remember we have discussed about reviewing your SEO efforts? Don't forget to check your SEO report too.

Mobile

Can you forget about Mobile users? You could, before smartphone comes into play. It will check out if you have a mobile version of your site. If you are a Blogger user, don't forget to enable mobile version. In addition, you will come to know that if your site has Apple icon implemented or not. It matters? Yes it is. Like users see your favorites icon when they bookmark your site, Apple icon used when Apple users bookmark or create shortcut to your site on Apple devices. A simple branding lesson ;)

Social

Social Media invaded human lives before aliens, and now it is one of the best strategies for promotion. Marketing Grader will simply review your presence on social media and how much helpful it is. The report won't give you information for every social platform, not yet.

Analytics

Marketing Grader simply analyzes your site to make sure if you are using analytics on your blog or website, such as Google Analytics or StatCounter. Analytics help you measure your goals and find preferences of your site visitors for decision making.

Apparently you may feel its score over estimate or under estimate your website comparing to other websites. If you did, you are just obsessing with it. Forget about the number and focus on what you are missing.

This tool is not perfect enough as it doesn't address every marketing aspect you need to focus on. For example, it analyzes only Facebook and Twitter in the social category. But the best thing is, it will show you what you are missing. I know, you would like to go one step ahead everyday and use Marketing Grader find what you need to take care of. Are you ready for some tips? AND remember to pay attention to each details in your report as you will find some helpful information and statistics.

Steps:

1. Visit Marketing Grader website.

2. Enter your website address in the first text field.

3. Click Grade Me button.

4. Now you will get a detailed report for your blog or website after the analysis.

5. Scroll down and go through the full report to see where you need more attention.

Note: If your report shows you have no indexed pages, submit your website to search engines.

Hi Mayura,

Informative post yet again :)

I'm glad I know of this one, though it was while blog-hopping that I came across Marketing Grader and loved the detailed report of everything it gives.

I like the fact that they take care to cover up each little detail, and those that are clear are ticked green , while the danger ones or that need attention remain in red - so you are well aware of all that needs your attention. I do take cues from it, but somethings that aren't in my control, like the Apple icon - I really don't know how to get it resolved - any idea for that?

Thanks for sharing, and hope you are having a great weekend :)

Mayura, I love this one. I've been using it for years. It does tell me I don't have a homepage though on Inspire. It's because I believe I have my posts there. I haven't checked all my sites there in the past few months, I usually do get some good hints from them. Thanks for sharing and reminding me.

Mayura,

That's really a awesome tool. I did come across this tool a while before and absolutely a nice data collection as like Google Analytics does. But different way:)

I love the data it offers with very detail level and would say this is will help SEO a lot for initial research to downsize their focus as where to hit for optimizing the site.

It projects my site with couple of fine tune options and indeed I need to spend some time to finetune it. :) ButI love the service they offer.

Thanks for sharing the informative post and have a great week ahead :)

Thanks once again Mayura!

I had so much fun doing this. At first I was an 80, then noticed they didn't have my twitter account. So I put that in and now I'm an 86. Pretty happy for a person that never checks things lol

The best part of it is those red boxes that need to be addressed. I don't have Apple icons. Hmm Can you write about that one? I'm sure you have the answer. This is the first time I heard of Marketing Grader. Because it was fun, I'll use it.

Thanks for the reminder that all this stuff is important. I kind of go with the flow, never checking anything but I know it is important.

Thanks again my friend,
Donna

Mayura I love this tool! I had never heard about this until today, which goes to show I still have a lot to learn! :)

I did a quick check and I got a 100% on analytics but there is room for growth on the others. What I like most is like you said, it tells us what it is we need to correct. I'm on my way to read all about it!

Thanks again for sharing this, you are THE online tool guru! Wishing you a wonderful week my friend!

WOW...I'm impress, Maruya!

One of the question says this:

"Are your blog post titles unique & fewer than 75 characters? Yes

You've totally nailed the science of blog post titles! Keep them unique and short (under 75 characters) to really grab your readers' attention and maximize the SEO benefits."

Overall I got 80%. Guess not bad for a newbie. :)

Hi Harleena,

Gosh... You knew? I should have known :D lol...

Now that report giving us very useful information, especially on SEO and Social Media perspectives dear :) As always, the best thing to follow is find out what we are missing.

Absolutely Harleena :) It's very simple and easy to understand too. Additionally, we can find more information about why some settings needs to be changed and follow the given tips. Some case studies are impressive :)

Ah Apple icon is quite easy to implement Halreena :) Just specifying an image to render for Apple users. May be there's a WordPress plugin for that. You can check out a post I written earlier about it too ~ Add an Apple Icon for Your Website.

Hope it helps :)

Oh no... Not bad at all Angela. Over 70 is pretty good always :) You know, marketing effects are tricky and need to use with care as they can save or kill your strategies.

It's proven that lengthy titles can overwhelm readers dear :) Well, not always though. Short, simple and to the point could be the best. But again, not always :D lol...

This is fabulous, Mayura! I had NO IDEA! Got an 87 overall! How cool is that? One thing it gave me thumbs down on was not having alt tags on all images. Again, this is something I didn't know about. Getting a great education here. Thank you so much, my friend!

Mayura De Silva said...

Hi Debbie,

Awesome... Until now, everyone commented here got over 80 and that's fabulous :)

Well, now there's something for you to take action ;) Actually alt tags will be very helpful when someone can't render images on your blog. It will show the text in there instead when loading image has been failed. Also compatible with some readers and devices, where folks wanna listen instead of read or see 'em.

It's about being user friendly and still I need to pay attention there too :D lol...

Instead of scores, the education is what matters Debbie :) I'm gad you got it and hope it helps when it comes to blogging and your blog.

Thanks for coming by, and sharing the score and facts you found Debbie :)

I still don't really have a handle on all the ins and outs of images, but, am definitely working on it. Numbers aren't really my thing, but, I'm always amazed to get a good score in anything, because I don't really know much about this stuff. Your posts are so helpful. Thank you!

Mayura De Silva said...

I'm sure you will Debbie :) Prioritize what changes need most for you and go with it. Even I'm not using alt tags much too.

Absolutely you had good score with PageRank and now here too :) You are doing it right and safe indeed.

Grasp suggestions and work on 'em dear :) Nothing will go wrong.

Cheers...
